Not much of an update but i spent 2 1/2 hours washing it so i thought i would take some photos! Used the 2 bucket method, with a mitt. Then polished and waxed it all over to protect it through the winter.

im down 60mm and i love how it looks. Im pretty happy with everyday driviong too, even tho u do have to go rather slow over speedbumps, its worth it. How much did u pick up the raceland from and where?

Video sounds good but you needed to rev it more ;)
Also she took a little while to start there..... any problems?
Also, how long have you had the white writing on your wheels? Have they started going yellow? Sucks when that happens :(

Thats good to know, i think i will go 60mm now. I got the raceland from Mr_Willy on here, who deals with TuningLeader. It's all sorted now though i hope, he said hes going to send the bottom half asap! And it cost £41 delivered, brand new.
Video sounds good but you needed to rev it more ;)

Thanks! Ermm it always seem to take that long to start, I've owned the saxo for about 1-2 months havent had any problems starting yet touch wood.
The writing on my tyres have been on for at least 1-2 months now, They havent gone yellow yet but some of it has become scuffed because of grit/rocks on the road :(. I used tescos own brand tippex too btw.
Same exhaust as mine, although your's is shiny! crank her up more ;)

Cool dude, yours sounds nice too! Yeah i should of revved it abit more really.
My wheels are 195/45/r15 thats all i know, and they have 20mm spacers fitted. I might get some lower profile tyres yet

Update:
Ordered gloss black and grey primer last week ready to smoke my front head lights and it arrived today so i got on with it.
Wasn't a great start as it was raining pretty hard but i decided to continue, i removed the front head lights which was some what awkward but i got it done.
Firstly i removed all the bulbs and put them in the oven at 150 degrees for 10 minutes
http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq207/ant809099/DSCF1879.jpg
After the 10 minutes i took the lights out and began attempting to remove the glass, which was easier than i expected i used a screw driver and a knife
http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq207/ant809099/DSCF1881.jpg
http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq207/ant809099/DSCF1882.jpg
Once removed i sanded over the chrome peace ready for primer. I used 180 grit as its all i got lol. Once sanded the first coat of primer was applied
http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq207/ant809099/DSCF1883.jpg
3 coats later and a long time waiting for it to dry it was time for 3 coats of gloss black, the finished result
http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq207/ant809099/DSCF1885.jpg
Once the paint dried it was time to place the light back into the oven at 150 degrees for 5 minutes and stick the two half's back together!
http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq207/ant809099/DSCF1886.jpg
And thats as far as i have got today, it was dark afterwards so i couldn't fit them back onto my car but i shall upload pictures tomorrow of the finished result
cheers

Does it make any differnce to engine bay temps, or purely aesthetic?
Anthony

Does it make any differnce to engine bay temps, or purely aesthetic?
Yes, my engine temperature has dropped a little, it used to sit at 3/4 of the way up on the temp gauge now its just above or on half way. and after a run it cools down much quicker than before. More heat can now obviously escape at the back of the bonnet :y:

Hmm, it still defo doesnt look as low as some cars in this thread: http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=200049
But if its a -60 kit then it will be 60mm lol. And ive heard that spax tend to be quite true to what they say they are.
Is it an adjustable kit? this may be wrong but is it adjusted to be fully 60mm down?
Maybe its not just fully settled :S

it looks settled, but still not sure if its -60mm
Well the spax kit i brought stated it was a 60mm drop, bearing in mind those photos were taken the same day as it was lowered. And the garage i took it to had a problem with staff going off sick so the job was left over night. So it had a good amount of time on a ramp.
Looks quality lad! Nice example!
Thanks!

Yeah i see what you mean mate, maybe its more like 50ish, i dont know how accurate spax suspension is.
No it isn't adjustable, and tbh looking at it today it does look like it has settled even more, i will have to take some more photos tomorrow or the next day :y:.

In my opinion vts alloys lok more subtle, but i kinda like the "aggressive" look the wolfrace's give.

Update:
After purchasing the official dimma grill a few months ago finally got time to get it painted at college and fit it.
Here's some pictures:
Sanded down ready for primer, used 500 grit wet and dry
http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq207/ant809099/Picture001.jpg
Primed 2nd coat
http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq207/ant809099/Picture003-2.jpg
Painted "Super Black" (it's similar to gloss black) also painted the mesh:
http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq207/ant809099/Picture004-2.jpg
Then sanded down again with 1500 grit and polished out.
Fitted (dark picture, cant see the mesh):
http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq207/ant809099/Picture005-2.jpg
Will get some better pictures this weekend after a good and well deserved clean. This color is also the color i will eventually spray the bump strips.

Hey guys its been ages since I've had any proper updates :n:. But I've now had a great opportunity at my college to respray my car :D. I'm in my 2nd year studying paint and body restoration and basically I've finished all my work and have a spare 4 weeks to do my little project using there facilities like paint booth, spray guns etc! All i have to pay for is the paint itself which i think is going to be a glossy/shiny black.
I only have college 3 days a week so progress is limited to wed/thur/fri only and this saxo is my only way of transport so i have to drive it around right till the paint day where i will matt it all down and panel wipe and spray!
Progress has started, first thing i did was de-badge the rear, and started re pairing all the little imperfections like stone chips and dents etc. The repairs are all in primer now to protect some of the filler/fiber glass work from weathering.
Next week i will work further on some of the repairs mainly the front bumper which has a nice ding in it, going to apply some heat to it and go from there.

Update:
Well today i finally got to paint the shell after loads of repair work, which includes a bashed up front bumper which had been bodged by the previous owner took ages to get it straight, 100's of stone chips and little dents here and there. I wanted to be 100% happy with it before going ahead and regretting not getting it sorted properly.
All the body panels are still in high build primer and i am going to be flatting them tomorrow and painting them hopefully.
Here's as they stand:

Decided to refit my bucket seats today for the time being since i i couldn't sell them, seems like a waste to keep storing them away lol. I oringally brought the buckets to go down the track/fast road route with harnesses etc but now using them with the normal seat belts and rear bench.
After fitting them it was nice weather for once so i gave her a clean using 2 bucket method with wash mitts then waxed to protect the paint.

Thank you. I did the respray myself so obviously there was no labour charges i just paid for the materials. Being a student i got them with a discount and i think in total including paint(black, clear coat, primer)/masking tape/various grade sand paper etcetc it was £150 so all in all very cheap considering.
Your talking about £1,000-£2,000 (depending on body shop) for the same quality job as i did mate.

whats it like with bucket seats? i mean like does it get uncomftable after a while?
Thanks. The seats are good to keep you upright so your backs nice and straight but after a few hours your ass does start to feel a little numb lol.
