As a few of you know i been wanting to do bits n pieces to my car recently and have been stuck on all types of cams...

Im going to go for a newman cam but not sure on the following two

CITSRR/258/406 PH1
CITSRR/270/415 PH3

Im after more acceleration than anything really so im guessing the PH1 would be better for that as it cuts in at 1500rpm?

But then again if i am going to tuning it up with throttle bodies and an xsi/rallye gearbox im guessing the PH3 would be better?

I am getting a remap done to my car anyway so the PH3 wouldnt be a problem to get

Would you guys say the PH3 is a wild cam?

for a tb set up a wilder profile cam would give you larger gains like the PH4 cams etc

also correct me if im wrong but i thing anything wilder than 708 or a ph3 requires head work

ph3 is a good cam
with bodies and headwork you should see around 165 at fly with it as its equivalent to 708s
otherwise around 150 is a good aim (mine made 152)
ph4s are also worth a look but you will be needing the bodies/headwork for them to run properly

ph1s ive not seen but cant be much wilder than standard tbh

ph3 and head work i will probs go for

how much do you think il be looking at to get my head ported and flowed?
