i have got a 2000reg saxo vtr with 42,000 on the clock but dont know when the cambelt needs changing can anybody help??

im not 100% but i bet its about 50-60k, depends on how you drive really if you drive fast i would change it just for peice of mind then its done and you dont have to worry about it ever snapping.

Interval is 60k so you have plenty of miles yet.

Advisable to do it around 50k ish to be on the safe side.

be very careful because the interval is 60k or 5 years, which ever one comes first.

so if your car is 8 years old i would have it changed pronto!

mines 10 years old with 88k on the clock and its never been changed :panic: deffo getting changed at the weekend

anyone know the best place to get a kit and if theres anything i shouuld change while im there? best price i can find is 40 posted

It's worth changing the water pump at the same time ... Halfords sell the kit you'd need. Not sure on price ...

mines getting changed on sat anyway for piece of mind, cuz if it snaps you fist-fuck everyhope of tuning it!

I agree totally mate, thats just when citroen recommend it, doesnt mean nothing will happen to it before then :y:
