Hi Guys got a vts with magnex exhaust system, induction kit and next i want cams..
1) What cams to go for?
Catcam 708's
Newman PH3's
Piper 285
Kent pt51
2) What Parts I will need / or best replace whilst cams are being fitted any additional items pulleys etc etc?
3) Do i just fit the new timing belt and time the high lift cams up as i would with standard cams or do you have to retard/advance timing?
Any other Cam Advice info greatly appreciated also what cams your running and other mods on your car and what bhp your car has achieved.
Thanks Alot :)

the ph3 and 708s are similar i believe the piper 285 and the kent pt51 are also similar
tbh its personal choice as they all give similar gains
belt and new followers are a good call (maybe spring on a higher mileage engine but really not nessecary) and for a vtr you will need a vernier pulley to time it properly
the timing set as standard and then the timing will usually get adjusted whilst mapping to get the best setup for your car

on cams of that kinda profile youll usualy get about 145-155 maybe 160 with the correct breathing mods
i ran 152 on neman ph3s mapped at chipwizards
tbh id do followers ect anyway just to be sure

the piper 285 is designed for if you have throttle boddies. its the same as catcam 808. 708's are similar to piper 270. as said before, you need a manifold first. its advised that you change valve springs to double valve springs and change the followers when putting the cams in, you don't have to though.
