It's a joke mate. I remember when i crashed the saxo. Went to an "approved" repair shop and they said a minimum of £700.

Me and my mate fixed it for less than £150. That was with a manifold as well lol!

If it's an insurance jobbie your definitely looking at a write off :( But then again... you get all your dollar back and go and buy a 182 with the state of car sales at the moment :)

Ouch!

They will move to write it off, though I'd be tempted to ask them to take it to a different repairer. You really need at least a grand off that though for the repair to go ahead.

If you have an AGREED value of £5k I'df take that and try and buy the car back at salvage cost, either to repair or break if the roof is bent. AGREED means just that, though most insurers ask you for the value of the car when you sign up for a policy, in which case they will only pay out market value, which will be a right kick in the balls at the moment

Im heading up the Coventry Road towards Birmingham town centre.
Said "douche" decides not to wait for me and starts to pull across my lane to go down Malmesbury road causing me to brake and skid, I managed to avoid a head on with the other car but skidded into the kerb.
Causing no damage to his car but completly destroying my front near side wheel / suspension.

Dont think so.

They asked for estimated value of the car but didnt agree anything in writing etc.
Think it would be just book price anyway if it was written off. Either way mods on the car push value up.

Just glad its been fixed.

Even said they'll possible put a carbon splitter on if its cheaper lol

Had to order some new coilovers as the old one got bent.

Also ordered the streamline carbon front splitter

Total £400 which will be given back to me.

Car is just in the bodyshop waiting for the coilovers to arrive next week.

Here's a tip.

Dont sit around and wait.
Chase people up, kept phoning my insurance about mine and eventually got put onto priority #1 list lol

Hassle them and MAKE them do their job.

All in all after I finished phoning my insurance and sorting things I had about 15 names "for my reference" lol

Even Facebooked the bird who joked with me about it been writen off.

It's where the arch and skirt join, getting a new skirt and obviously new arch.

The car has got be put on the jig to pull the crease out of the roof so guessing it might be where it's attached I have no idea but they have sanded that down so HOPE they respray it back.

Also they've got to blend into the door so thats another £156968483 sticker they need to put on the list lol

4K though to repair it. personally for a low NCAP rated car id not even bother! if you're saxo or any other saxo hits a 4 or 5 star Ncap car thats around the same size the saxo will be destroyed! and so will the people inside and thats at a normal speed of 30mph! also wont you have to, since you're doing it via you're insurance get the car basicly de graded to a (D) to say its damaged repaired. that alone on resale will bugger you!

you must really love the saxo to end up spending that amount. when you could just save up some pennies and get something more stable/powerful/safer/economic!

anyways good to see you want hurt rather see you spend 4k on the car then on you're body been repaired!
