hi i was wounderin if any one can help me?
my 98 vtr has lately not bin starting very well. one day it will start fine with no problems and the next day it wont start. after i charge the battery or jump start it, it works fine. most of the time if it wont start it will work after i turn the car on and off several times. i thought that it was the battery so i brought a new one but the problem is still there!!! does any one no what this can be???

hiya, dont know if this will apply to you, but mines had the same problem. is it just turning over and wont start ?
my immobiliser light was coming on, and wouldnt start car, but after a few attempts got it going.
then the next day it just didnt want to know! got bumped at the garage, 55quid for spark plugs! that didnt solve the problem,, so took it back ... was the antenna n immobiliser box or something, thats now been replaced today for another 95quid ....... so fingers crossed, alls ok now :)
im gonna get intouch with trading standards like, as i didnt even need the spark plugs, and at 55quid, im foaming!!! :wall::boxing::wall:

change some sensors: lambda, coolant temp sensor and the idle control valve/stepper motor, this fixed mine
