Just got my furio lowered on 15's and fitted an ashley competition exhaust and a k&n induction kit, was wondering what other engine mods can be done to increase the performance without breaking the bank? Was looking into a new manifold...

a manifold would be a good next step, KAM RACING do raceland ones for £120 or janspeed for about £150. next would probably be head work, cams skimming etc all depends on what you class as "breaking the bank". dont forget stripping it out will increase acceleration, handling, braking. and best of all its free!! but if you dont to do that then i would definetly reccomend a manifold next. :y:

manifold is next mate
then its a case of maybe a cam and a map

shorter ratio box as the westy has a pretty long final drive
but all the above (well not the mani as much) will kill your mpg

nitrous is reservered for lunatics in england mate

theres a lot of debate over the legallity of it (its legal but has to be turned off ect) and a lot of the plod just say its illegal

plus the excess stress it places on the engine from the higher burn can damage internal components if not set up correctly (was it you who did the thread asking why nitrous had blown your vts up??)

the gearbox was a good mod on mine, 4th n 5th are like the same gear.

Ive got a westocast mate only engine mods ive done is:

gearbox
enclosed induction
manifold
exhaust system (de-catted)

After that then maybe, cams , theyre revvy lil cars as they are, with a uprated cam, be well fun :p.

vtr head, injectors, remapped maybe?

manifold as said is your best option at the minute!

many options at the min for deals, Kam-Racing for a raceland is a bargain... also GMC Motosport are doing deals on GMC 4-2-1 Mani's at £150!

GMC one is nice and ive heard better things about these :)

Yes it is me, but the problem was in me, I let the nitro about 7-8 times without stoping, and the engine overheat :wall:
