Hi i have a saxo vts and while driving at motorway speeds in 5th it feels like it needs another gear its screaming at 80mph feels like the revs are to high how can i tell what gearbox is in my car will there be a number on it or something?

there is a code on the side of the box, search the gearbox code thread on ssc.
what rpm is it at in 5th?
as they are fairly high revving in 5th.
in 5th should be double (roughly) your rpm eg 30 on teh rpm should bt 60mph

thats right then mate.
Mines more or less the same, mine revs slightly more but i do have an s2 rallye box.

mines standard and is really really quite but on the motorway its loud grrrr all the time i also have a 1.3 micra with a full janspeed exhaust system on it that sits at about 3.5 at 80 and is really quite its mad but if yours is about the same around 4000 quess mines right then thanks for the help

There fine they have a long final drive.
Hence why you get good mpg in them on motorways.
