As much as i like to think that im rich, im just not. Now its nice to see that petrol prices are dropping however its still not cheap. It costs me around £45 to fill up my tank from the red. I think the tank holds about 50 litres. From that i would say that i get about 300 miles (when i drive sensibly). For 1.1 is that good or bad???? What is everyone getting?

It's not great but depends what kind of driving you do.

On average i fill up with about £45 and it gives me a good 350-360 miles but i do a variation of town and motorway driving.

Full tank is between 340-370 for me in a vts, and my 1.1 could do more then that.

Heavy right foot?

Less strain on the engine. My 2.0 get's better mpg than my vtr did. Same driving style etc.

Thats depressin. I use the premium juice aswell coz in the handbook it says to use 97 ions petrol. Doz it make a difference whether you use premium or normal?? I did put the 95 ions in once an when i started the car up it coughed and sputtered a bit it still ran fyn but i didnt havnt used the normal stuff agen coz of that.

really without knowing the type of driving (town, motorway, country road) or the style of driving you do, it's pretty difficult to tell whether there is a problem with your car dude.

300miles from 45-50 litres for a 1.1 is seriously BAD though (30mpg). Ads

my vtr costs just short of £40 from the red light to tank it up to the brim and i can get anything from 240 when im driving it hard up to 350miles driving sensibly

i get around 350 a tank in my mk2 vts. i drive with a lead boot as well ;)

if im on a motorway, the mileage shoots up higher by a considerable amount.

you mite want to get some injector cleaner in the tank, fit some new plugs, new air filter etc

see if the mileage increases??

imo you should be getting about 400+ so i would say thats bad. i havent owned my car enough to know how much mpg im getting

try using that tesco 99ron if you can get it?

its less than the price of optimax and has a higher octane rating, my car seems to like that ;)

i noticed cold days the fuel drops a bit more, cold days are great for driving in, the car is so responsive :S.

thats because it takes longer for your car to heat up and when the engine is cold it uses more petrol

i got the same car and get the same fuel economy...i fink its cos we drive them hard so they accelerate okish but foot to the floor and the needle in the higher parts of the rev range means the ur eating fuel...

thats my opinion ne way
