What would have to be done to get 135mph out of a vts?
In cost/engine terms.
Cheers,

they'll do that on the speedo as std but to get a real 135 you'll need 150-160bhp.

Standard top end is 127 IIRC. For an extra 8mph, I'd have a stab at about another 15-20bhp.

where do you intend to reach this speed? Its not difficult to get a car to reach that speed you just need the correct gearing and a bit of extra power.
To get to that speed on a short straight say at a race circuit is more challenging as you'll need to carry a lot of speed around the preceeding corner

I dont intend to reach that speed anywhere, just my friends looking at a saxo and the sellers claiming it can do that easily. its had exhaust system, K&N filter, been 'chipped' and remapped.
Dont really know anything else about the car.

as alex said.
GPS it read 133 but it was off the clock on the saxo, that was a spaxo with shitty breathing mods.
Why the specific speed though :S

Dont forget its remapped aswell. Basically its a standard sax and on the clocks it reads 135mph.
Cammed VTSs go over the 135 so you would be looking at 140-150bhp.

a chip and a remap doesnt mean anything to me though. If i saw a chipped car that was also remap it would raise the question why chip something when a remap is better.
What chip is used etc...

I think the Evo version is a 3.2ltr straight 6, whereas the standard M3 is just a 3.0ltr. I'm not sure if they do this anymore, what with all these new models and stuff.
