nah i dont think it is because iirc you have to solder those in and crimp wires together etc they dont plug in i reckon its a dastek unichip

im not up on the shape of the chips tbh but i no that well lane turbos use super chips to map or (chip) cars and they map a chip and attach it to the ecu and they charge 300 quid. how much did you pay for the chip mate? and how do you no it is mapped correctly for your car?

what car did it come from? its possible very dangerous/wouldnt work, if it came from a completely different engine and you want to plug it straight into yours.
Superchips are bullshit anyway, your moneys better spent on a standalone or somethin similar

matty has a very good point, you would be far better off taking your car to somewhere like chip wizards in rochdale and getting your ecu remapped

bought it for £80 and have a receipt for it that says it was from a saxo vtr.i was just wondering if any one knew how to fit or where abouts it fits into?

Looks like a keycard?

should be a thin black silicone thing bout 1cm by 2cm long with two rows of silver prong, leg things running down each side

goes inside your ecu which may require socketing to fit it

personaly id say you have wasted your DOH on a pointless mod that prays on pub figures and the un informed

they hold a generic map for x car,now that map will increase things (fuel consumption mainly)but it wont optimise any mods such as headwork, cams, filter etc as its a generic map
this map will be the same as many other cars and not specific to you

waste of cash!

did the previous car have mods? you want the same if it did

you have been robbed mate. the superchip map is downloaded. the only person that chip is usefull to is the person with the ecu that was originally 'chipped'.

Doesnt matter with this type of chip as its a generic map
not a custom one like a chipwizard map

it can still have different maps put on though. and it isnt actually a chip on a saxo. its downloaded via the ODB port.

It can have different parameters put on dpending who installed the superchip

but it WONT be a map to optimise any mods on the car.
Hundreds of others could have same map

it will be a best fit map for the car
if your doing it do it right or not at all
a bad map or a map not suited to your car could cause damage

it can be mapped. run the car on the rollers, send superchips the results, then they send a corrected map. repeat till its spot on.
im not saying its the best way, my car was mapped at chipwizards, but im saying it can be done.
