Ok, I get to about 90-95mph in 4th gear then @ 4k of revs it just seems to die, not gaining any more speed and the revs just wont go any higher, change to 5th and still the same?

anyone have any ideas on what this could be, cos I just cant seem to go any faster than 100mph now? (I know i shouldnt be doing these speeds but you know what happens @ 2am on the ringroad when another car fancys a lil friendly racesmileys/smiley17.gif

sounds like your air filter/induction element, normally happends when it cant flow any more air so engine just stops accelerating. Assuming you have aftermarket one fitted?

ie clean it or try putting std stuff back on as well, also check you dont have any leaks, or your car is ferked as this can cause this as well (assuming you have a cat)

^^lol whatever that meant, I meant check you dont have any exhaust leaks, the CAT isnt restricting the flow of exhaust gases so it causes large back pressure. Assuming you have a CAT fitted

I have green enclosed filter mate which has only been fitted for about 3mths and also have a de-cat. I have a small oil leak but dont know if that would cause any major problem???

Any other ideas buddy? smileys/smiley5.gif
