is it possible to swap the final drive ratio's around on saxo boxes?

am i right in thinking that if i put a 1.1 final drive on my mk1 vtr i will get quicker acceleration?

i was looking at a very old thread and it got me thinking.

if you can do it are there any other problems i may encounter.

or would it be just as easy to slap a 1.1 box on?

1.1 box is shit PERIOD.

put a VTS/Rallye/106 xsi box on it

finals can be swapped but its alot of work, not something your average person can do.

It will be cheaper if you just buy a second-hand 106GTI / VTS box and have it fitted. Don't go with a higher final drive than the one in the above boxes, as you'll have issues at higher speeds.
