Just go to a garage and ask matey. I had to get a new one for mine. Shouldn't be too much. Just very awkward to get to it :n:

the O ring, or fire ring people call them.

A kit is about £12 max, the ring itself about £4

I can get you one if your stuck, ive got a spare one as ive just overhauled all the rusty clamps and gaskets on my exhaust and this didnt need changing.

yeah il change it myself lol, when i had my new downpipe fitted, the bore of it was smaller :wall: there the "o" ring as stated was too big, so i had to use exhaust putty stuff to fill it in, plus i need the new springy parts

thanks :)

thanks, il feel daft when i go to a garage saying " can i have a smaller "o" ring" for my exhaust lol, wont i have to measure the bore of my downpipe ?? and what do i say for the spring part ?? "can i have the spring part for a saxo 98

or can i remove it and just use the new springs to bolt it, because when im driving i can hear it from the front :(

if you cant get it out try measuring, if you can get to a quickfit jus tell them you need an exhaust bush for the bottom of your downpipe, theyl know what you mean, theres only a few sizes i beleive and last time i went he give me 2 or 3 to be sure(i couldnt remove mine) then jus ask him if he has any of the coupling bolts and springs, mite hvae to pay for those though as i beleive he may hav to order them, hope this helps m8

if its all standard pipework they'l probly kno what diameter to you need, if your close to a garage it might be worth calling in and asking first before you remove, like i said they guys at my local (low fell) give me few afew diff sizes to try, saves you wasting time removing you kno?

yeah its standard, just the new downpipe i got fitted is smaller "bore" than the original therfore they didnt fit a smaller "o" ring is a bit annoying like lol, it blows from the front a little, with effects the exhaust note imo

I think the O ring is called a compression ring, and the springs are just exhaust springs.
