like everyone says, there's no point in improving power to the 1.1s because you wont get much.
if you must, de-cat pipe depends on lambda-sensors. if you have 1, you can replace the cat with a pipe, but if you have 2 (one before and one after cat), then you'll have to get a de-cat pipe with a socket for 2nd lambda-sensor, and i didnt find any
best thing is to get a 1.4 engine and drop it in

also if you fit a de cat ur car wont pass its MOT unless u put the cat back, you could get a racing cat and then u would have to change it, but there aint really much point in swapping from the original to be honest

it only makes the car sound more aggresive

as these guys have said there isnt too much point spending alot of money trying to increase the power of a 1.1.
de-catting it would make a small amount of difference and would make the exhaust louder. if its a mk1 saxo then a de-cat will only be £50 ish but if its a mk2 you'd need a new manifold as the cat will be in the manifold. smileys/smiley2.gif

you could take your old cat and knock the shit out of the middle of it with a pipe and hammer, i did this with my escort and it still passed its mot and no one knew it didnt have the element knocked out of it. cheap and simple smileys/smiley2.gif
