depends which vtr engin its for
there are 2 types
roller and non roller
2000 is changeover year so you could have either engine in your car

well if you drop that in youll be wanting a remap
it will run unmapped but will be lumpy
also youll be needing an adjustable vernier pulley to get the timing correct
but it would mate a vtr very nippy
also cammed stuff will make a nice note
im asuming youv allready got induction a manifold n a good exhaust on there
if not camming it is pointless

The cam in that link is a mild one which doesn't need a re-map. For the money it costs, might as well give it a try mate - tempted to drop one into mine. :)

i didnt look at the profile thoight the pt40 was eqivalent to a ph3 style cam
much less than a ph3 is pointless imo

got all breathin mods, fort it would of needed a remap myself but the ad sais it doesnt so? jus wondering whether its worth doing or jus saving for the vts and gettin that cammed, you can get alot more power out of a vts and im thinkin i mite jus be wastin money as ill end up wantin a vts anyway lol

ive seen quite a few vtrs done properly that can beat a vts
then youll love the vtr for that fact

i can agree with that but im not looking to spend loads and loads, breathing, cams remap, stripped out and that will do mean for the time being, so for this only the vts will probs be better for me you think?

Think the silver top mk2 vtr's are roller rocker cover!
