i will never run semi slicks on the road no matter what the conditions. had a scary moment on them in the summer. bloke had been washin his car on the main road went down there at 50mph aqua planed in the standing water nearly went through some guys living room window. luckily managed to keep the car out the kerbs and anything solid.

Definatly the biggest trouser moment ive had

most semi slicks are for track use only but some like yokahama A048 and A032 are both fine for road use.
