im thinking about getting into trackday next year, does anyone kno the nearest place to gateshead that does trackday events? just i know a lad thats got an ax gti with a black top vtr lump in hes been tryin to get rid of for a while, the car is itself has done nex to no miles and is the cleanest example ive ever seen, (really does look like its jus rolled of the line)
i know a few people on here use them, ehat are they like on track day ive never driven one, not a big fan bt it blew my m8s cammed vtr a few month back and it wasnt by a short distance lol sorry bout the essay

if booking via javlein £129 for the day or via croft its £99 for half day and £149 for full.
Not open again till april. And i will be sticking an event thread up for it as me and ron will be attending.

teesside autodrome also do track days and is prob a bit closer. good choice of car imo. my mate had a yellow ax gti years ago with a vtr bottom end on and that thing was rapid.

If its set up properly it will fly mate. Decent suspension, brakes, and tyres and it will be a fun little track toy

its just standard apart from the engine, one of me mates bought it with another vtr lump in, had it a few weeks and fucked it lol, thought it was head gasket but it mustnt ov been cos me other mate bought it off him and he put a new lump in,(hes not the type of kid that would fork out for a new lump lol) and his step dad fitted cos he own his own garage, but its a flying machine now for what it is,

I am currently preparing my car for next years track season, 3rd jan at elvington york will be the first for me followed by croft in march.
My car is going to manic motors for a pile of work v soon, to help with the prep.

many of the parts are the same as the 106 and saxo

hahaha was a bout to ask something quite dumb there lol, "how pricey are engine mods for the ax" its already got a vtr lump in hahaha, do they run decent on the stanard alloys or better with steelies

if its 4 stud then every thing same as vtr . if not then harder to get brakes wheels ect

it'll be 3 stud if its got standard AX wheels on. get some vt* front suspension and rear beam on.
