ok really for it to rev high air has to be getting in behind the throttle plate, sure you havent knocked of a hose on the plenum ?

This isnt as daft as it seems, check all along your throttle cable, including the throttle body to make sure its not catching anywere

check thats not leaking then mate
sounds like it could be the cause

alex :P

it could be the end of the throttle cable where it enters the plenum and the little clip is, it its not sat right back in its hole it would be pulling the throttle open a tad
