the short answer is no

it has been one on race cars to meet regs for class but its alot of work, way more than is worth it for road usage.

there was a 1.4vts in other countries.

think on the later 1.4 engines the 16v fitted not o sure.

it was a 1360cc vts, but it wasnt a 16v

Sorry forgot to mention its not for road usage which would be easier, a full 16v conversion or just swap the heads?

Cant just swap the heads, sandy did a 1.4 16v on bodies in a 205. His thread commented on how if it wasnt for class regs it was uneconomical iirc.

just use the 1600

Get a 1600 vts engine and change the bore/stroke with a different crank, rods etc. Only way really, and its only for class racing really. Pointless for the road etc.

1600 engine with S1 rallye crank. if stuck to regulations like said. would probably be the easiest route.

Yes you can. You have to use a iron block 8 1.4 You need to fit the tensioner setup off the 16V engine and hen the pistons can easily be rebated to clear the 16 valves. You can use the full management system off the 16V but it would have to be mapped or you can just go stand alone.

As for using 1.3 crank in a 16V block this is a lot more complicated and actually takes you over 1.4 if you retain the stock stroke and bore.
