Both are too short to search, what is the gain for the extra £50-60.
I have read and read, and is it purely down to personal preference? I want to spend 90quid tops, so its like the DIA, or a Raceland?

i have a bmc but i have a modified inlet on it. its a good system but the original housing for the filter is restricted by a tiny inlet. think its about 50mm dia. mines now 100mm dia and a 100mm dia cold air pipe and the car certainly responds better than it did with the standard air box on.

thats mine although once my new silicone pipe for the throttle comes im relocating the cold air pipe away from the manifold.

I THINK one is carbon fibre, the other is plastic. cda is just for style whores

CDA is carbon so repells heat more than the plastic DIA, thus having colder intake temperature, increasing performance (supposedly)

So a DIA wrapped in headwrap will be just as good?

it does look like tumble dryer pipe but its a heat resistant material and really really strong. and at the end of the day isnt all mods do it yourself?
and as for the answer to your question it might not be a total answer but its an opinion of one product so all you need now is an opinion from someone with another and they you`ll have your answer

well imo i would buy a cda as they get great reports rather than buying a dia and then heatwrap for it to achieve the same effect, gains will be minimal with each one anyway

aye your not gonna get much improvement overall anyway. car might run abit better but your not gonna get crazy power improvement.....could get an electronic supercharger off ebay lol

Its not for that, my standard airbox is too heavy and missing the airfeed from the front

all you need is a flexible pipe of some sort to fit it to the front near the slam panel. or get to a scrapper for one. unless your going for a track beast the weight of your airbox isnt going to affect the performance of your car anyway.

would that be a turban dia? interesting concept

yeah every little helps but unless your gonna buy a full kit you might aswell just get a new filter for the airbox and get a new cold air feed for the standard box.

Exactly why I would rather just go for the cheapest option but without adding more restriction.

The DIA is basically a budget version in the sence that it doesn't use carbon fibre. The design and performance is essentially the same otherwise

Does anyone know of anyone with a DIA then? Do we get discount on KamRacing?

i have the bmc cda. the cda has a carbon wrap which is supposed to be more effective atpreventing heat absorbtion or soak
