it wouldn't surprise me mate if they were all manufactured at the same factory somewhere on behalf of those manufacturers.

Whilst they reckon there is an improvement between paper and cotton filters, i can't there would be much difference between different cotton filters really.

dadsayer reckoned to start with paper was better... this was based on some tests he got some geeza's at work to carry out for him about 15 years ago though so I'm guessing it's not to relevant now. If anything maybe a new paper is better than a new cotton, but cotton is better over the entire service and life cycle (doesn't clog up anywhere near as quick, more economical in the long run too) and based on what I saw from the derv, minorly better throttle response and better mpg.

so certainly go for a cotton panel filter, but as for any out of the three, i don't think it matters. Go for the cheapest :y:

Find the cheapest one Danny. As Sayer has said there is no difference in the actual panel filter imo.

I have a K&N in the 206, made no difference at all but it needed changing so i did it.

K&N seems to be the way to go:

Thanks Mr Sayer, great help as usual! I'll go for the cheapest cotton one then! I don't want performance, MPG is more apealing to me!

You have been thanked! :cool::geek:
