hey, i was in halfords today and noticed that they had a saxo/pug diagnostics machine for sale. It goes into the slot just below the interior fuse box and pops up with a specific code if something is wrong. This code then corresponds to a fault that can be looked up i the supplied book, which recomends how to fix. Anyone used these and are they any good?

Loads of fault code readers like that are available on ebay, probably cheaper than halfords too

Best diagnostic machine I've used on a Saxo is a Snap-On one, but they're anywhere from £1000 upwards

You might find it only works on certain years, i've got one off ebay, works fine on post-2001, but i've been told it wont work on pre-2001 because that was the year they changed the interface over.
