Ok here goes, my i.i saxo has been playing up of late, whilst driving to work about half hour into the journey its starts to bunny hop when i put my foot down for more power.
When i stop at traffic light and then move of in 1st there is no power there at first, it then hops in to to life.
Its does'nt tick over very good once the engine is warm, it kind of spists and stutters.
My mechinic has looked at it, the pipe going into the air filter was loose, so he fixed it, it was going great for a day, pulling away really smoothly, now its started to do it again this morning.
As a woman driver it really scares me about braking down.
Does any of you guys have any suggestions????

had the same problem with a mg zr basically went through months of ass ache with it replacing idle control valve, ecu, air pipe ect and found after taking the engine to bits that there was a small tear in the seal on the head gasket.

Also could it be a faulty coil pack, i had changed about 8 months ago but the engine management light still kept coming on???
