Hey guys at the mo ive got my self a mk1 VTR an i love it 2 bits but before i go crazy on engine mods i was thinking of getting a VTS before i start becuase it faster anyway so mitght as well send a lil mur muney wisely on a car and then just start on that.Plus whats the max BHP that you can get out of a VTS without runing a turbo and what have you done to get that performance???

max power is directly related to your wallet.

Ditto... How big is your wallet!?!
Why did you say 'without running a turbo'? Is that because you don't fancy forking out around £2800? You would get the same power out of a supercharger but would be about £2k more.
If you think about it, you could be spending around the same amount of money making other power modifications and so you might as well just ditch those and go for the turbocharger.

Dito on what the other guys have said, a good place to start is full exhast system and de-cat, then enclosed air filter, manifold, then cams and a remap and head work if you want.

you could always supercharge the engine instead of turbo charge it. From this people have been reporting over 300bhp from a VTS. Without a turbo or supercharger, 150bhp is easily achievable on a VTS, if not up to 175
