Theyre known for a bit of the lift off oversteer mate. Its very steady when theyre at standard height so its easy to control, the more your lower them the more the back end tends to step out in one motion but it takes longer to get there

saxos do tend to be like that, you just have to be alert. ;)

brake before the corner, balance the car at the correct speed and accelerate out the apex and it will be perfectly stable.
Brake in the corner or lift off while cornering and you will transfer weight off the rear wheels and cause the back end to go loose or worse spin

happened to me a few times mate and as everyone has said its a common saxo thing, i remember the first time it happened to me, its a bit scary when you dont expect it to happen lol.
This is why i put a 12" sub in the boot for added rear end weight lol

I remember asking this when I was new to the Sax Scene - Needless to say it did give me a bit of a fright at first.
Seriously though; Take Kam's advice, you'll find yourself becoming a much better/faster driver.

had a nice close call on a big roundabout only doin 40 round it an the back end just stepped out without warning i kno if you take ya foot off th weight transfers and all that my mates is lowered the arches are just about touchin th 14"alloys thats how low an he reckons his corners like a gokart..............

like Jakie Stewart said on top gear, dont put on the accelerator in the corner untill you know you dont have to take it off again. Taking the acceleration off shifts the weight of the car to the front and the back will step out. The stiff rear beam makes the back of the car very rigid in these cars. you jsut have to be aware of it and enter corners at sensible speeds

u have got to brake before the corner in any car no matter what its the same theory as what kam racing sed u dont wanna lift off or brake but also if u tap the brakes mid corner while the wheels r both turnin and movin can cause ur wheels to lock up and u will be all over the place haha but the car being quick through corners and lively at the sme time is what a vtr is all about in my eyes

40 round a roundabout is still pretty fast,
and considering its winter and the roads are prone to water or worse... ice, it could have pretty bad consequences
ive never had these issues, just judge the corner and the speed relative to it.
going round a roundabout abit slower will get you to your destination about 5 seconds later, so theres really no need

obviously different cars handle differently so your gonna get some step out, especially if your car is standard..
in a word yes, lowering your car will improve handling..
a strut brace will also aid and stiffin the chassis and help prevent sliding and back end kicking out
however no matter how wel your car handles, driving it at 60 round a roundabout is gonna lead to some dodgy pressure forces on your back end...
