Quick zorst Question

just a quick one. I've got a V reg vtr its the face lift model but with the 90bhp engine with the cat under the car. i was just wondering if it would be possible to fit and exhaust from an 02 vtr with the cat in the mainfold? my cats fooked and i've been offered the whole system off an 02 with stainless cat back. will it fit?

Should do, might find the pipeworks slghtly different length wise, but more than likely it wll just sit a touch farther out. Take it it will be decat then.

cheers fella it might be decated it depends on if the manifold has been damaged the car its coming off had a front end smash if they are damaged i might just use the cat back part and and marry it up to my manifold.

ah, i thought you were just going to use your manifold! So its from the block back then! Might have a problem with lambda sensors in that case, just means you dont need to hook one up i guess!

Your gonna hit problems with the oil filter you will need to change it to the mk2 setup

cheers for the replys peeps if its gonna be hassle dont think i'll bother using the newer manifold. looks like ill use my manifold and just the cat back from the newer modle and leave my cat off.

the oil filter will definatly cause problems
we tried it on a car for its mot and there was no chance it would fit

how needs a cat... just have to find me a very very nice mot tester...lol

i doubt event the nicest of tester will still give it a pass, unless its like one of ya mates lol
