Or do you just wanna get a etty picture frame nock it out and glue a sponge inside it to replace your panel filter..
Don'T expect a good response when you want to make a "air filter for a laugh.."

on a more serious note, you could always buy a cheap universal one, and get some thin aluminium to make it so that the filter is enclosed or use it as a heat shield. but i dont think you can make one out of household objects. Tights over the TB? lol

Ok honey :P

seriously now, tbh i doubt 'homemade' piping wouldnt do the trick as you wil have to sort out the connection from one end to the other, may aswell leave it standard unless you want to fork out for a decent one.

Okay, on a serious note i did some testing this morning,

Vtec induction kit progress thread

Step one
Tools needed
a rubber band 3 toilet roll tubes a berol fine liner and a andrex roll
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u216/sam4412/101_0668.jpg
Step two
Branding
Take your berol fine liner and brand your filter, don't worry if you make a mistake its easy to tear a sheet off and start again.
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u216/sam4412/101_0669.jpg

Step three
Assembly
Take your filter and insert one of your tubes, make sure that its tight.
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u216/sam4412/101_0670.jpg
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u216/sam4412/101_0671.jpg
Repeat this step until you reach the length needed
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u216/sam4412/101_0665.jpg
Three did the job for me.
Now your finally there, take a minuet to feel proud of your creation.
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u216/sam4412/101_0666.jpg
The final product.

Step four, final stage
Installation
For this i used three more toilet roll tubes and a rubber band
Take a toilet roll tube and the rubber band, double the rubber band up with your fingers and place over tube, the squeeze over your throttle body, take your finished induction kit and mount it in engine bay, i used a wire coat hanger for support, take two more tubes and form a U bend from the throttle body tube to the induction kit
Should look something like this
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u216/sam4412/VTECYOO.jpg
Now, take your car out for a good thrash to bed it in and enjoy the awesome throttle response and sound
