what increase would be seen from a raceland 4-2-1, a sportex straight through, and green filter in a raceland enclosure? 5 or 10 bhp?

cheers

Yes roughly around 5-10bhp but its like saying how longs a piece of string. Depends on your engine condition etc, with a good service you should see more than if you havn't had a service in a while.

needs a service and belt change and new exhaust first, then can think about adding the manifold. i dunno what to do whether to bother modding it or just start putting some cash away for a vts once the insurance is up on my vtr

Hmmm up to you dude, if I was you i'd be putting the cash away for a VTS if the insurance is decent. If not then fire away but its pointless wasting money on something that won't be as quick imo. Having said that, I spunked loads into a 1.0 haha, suppose its what you want from the car and feeling as though 'yes i've improved it' :y:.

thjing is insurance for an s is 1100, for my r it would be 4-500.
if i did my breathing mods then went for a new cam and a remap would i be making around 120bhp? i know vts power delivery will be better and 120bhp in in vts would be better than in a vtr, but it would still be fast wouldnt it?
how much is mpg affected by the above mods?

I buy Newman Cams for VTS and I'm not much satisfied. Maybe they are not correctly timed, but I think that with standard cams my Vts was faster.

what cams did you fit. I've not seen one every produce less power when correctly timed and mapped
