Will having it chipped actually do anything? Coz i've heard not, what else can i do to it? Help me out people.

Positive start then,
Just do the norm, induction kit, exhaust system, mani, maybe a cam and a remap

point to point you'll make the car a lot faster by sorting out the suspension and improving handling.. then I'd look at the engine.. the manifold makes a lot of difference as will a decent exhaust. Once you have those and an induction kit then things start getting more expensive.

i would play with suspension first, then save up some more money and get a 16v engine.
