jusy woundering what people have found with certain items i.e a 4 branch mani and a vts gearbox on a vtr engine, my engine has got a induction kit and a striaght through exhaust with just a backbox oh and its a mk2. i have been looking at the mani's but havent decided yet. but i do have a vts gearbox which i am going to fit in the next few weeks with a new driveshaft because my other shafts going.
If someone could tell me there past experiences with these things let me know please.
I like the vtr performance and fuel return at the minute and its a constant laugh with the car just would like a little more grunt from the engine.

peformance enclosed air filter, full race system exhaust inc mani... will not only change the sound but provide a lil more grunt... but i imagine that lot is way more than you was hoping to spend...

striaght through exhaust with just a backbox
You what?
Breathing mods to do on a vtr are without doubt things like induction kit, good 4-2-1 manifold, and good FULL exhaust system. You could also think about porting and polishing your throttle body. A guy on here does it for £26 re-delivered to your door.
After that you should be thinking about a cam and map if you still want more power then onto throttle bodies etc if your staying N/A.
Thats alot of money though and few go that far.

i just want opinions on the manifold and fitting a vts gearbox to a vtr engine!!!!
my car has no silencers or cat with just a magnex backbox. but im thinking of getting a 4 branch mani, just want to know if they do make some difference in power.

You must have made some modifications to the centre section then my man.
The manifold being the most important part of the exhaust system when replaced for a better quality one so for example janspeed, supersprint, piper etc will ofcourse make a reasonable difference.

I swapped my straight through exhaust to one that'd been desinged for performance, and had a middle silencer, seemed to make it quite a bit torquier.
