as above has anyone actually used these guys before? Just want some opinions currently have one on mine and seems to be ok debating whether a raceland or janspped would make any much more difference.

They do these for the Zetec S, heard that there not the best when it comes to fitment, can be a bit hit and miss and some of them need modifying, but apparently perform well.

Heard that the ports on the 16v ones don't line up with the head correctly. Having said that there is one fitted to my supercharged lump and there dont seem to be any issues. I'll have a good look round it when I remove it though.

Dont do it Gav, the ports arent matched to the head (they are round on the mani), apart from that its a very good manifold imo. If you got the ports sorted....

if its on the car you probably wouldn't notice a massive difference by changing. spend the money on another performance mod

Definite no no. I got one off eBay, problems as follows
1. The bolt holes didn't line up with the block.
2. After filing them for a bit leeway the bracket that links to the gear box didnt line up either.
3. I had to cut a small section of the bracket away so i had extra leeway at the bottom end.
4. Once this was done i found out the bracket is positioned in such a way that you cant tighten the bolt into the gear box casing so that the manifold is secure at the bottom end.
5. Also the port at the bottom isn't chamfered so the gasket from the cat pipe or de-cat pipe doesn't fit snuggly so off it came again.
By this point i was so pissed off putting it on, taking it off, putting it back on, i put it in the shed. Also the gasket it comes with is shite!:wall:

Follow on from Pro-Tech Manifolds
The manifold is currently in the shed if anyone wants to buy it still requires a tiny bit of re-work.

are these made from mild steel, as i have a mild steel mani but dont know what make it is and it fits the bill perfectly for all the problems mentioned there, looking for a cheap raceland myself

Its T304 stainless steel. Mandrel bends, TIG welded with CNC machined flanges.
40mm Primaries going into 4-2-1. Interested like?

£100. NO POSTAGE ( unless arranged by the buyer) Most of the rework is done, just needs a bit more filing around the single end so that the cat pipe marries up more snuggly. Thats it.
