I cannot thank wayne from chip wizards enough!!! He mapped my 2001 Y reg vts, 3 pin ECU saxo which toke him 5 hours to properly and got me an amazing 157.7bhp!! He is one of only 2 place able to map these and i would never go anywher else first trip was a night mare toke me 3hours towing car from b'ham to find that my newly fitte ported and polished head was leaking he looked at it for free and diagnoised that it was the Head gasket. Then as i am going to Olton park tomoz he agreed to map it on saturday just gone, I have a BMC filter, newman cams, Magnex 4to1 manifold and stainless system and was hoping for 150 at a push! He knocked me a massive discount of for being in this and saxosports club and even ported and polished the butterfly value on throttle body, which gained the final 3bhp to make the gains! If anyone is thinking of getting car mapped I couldn't recommend him higher he is down to earth honest and worth every penny. I am very exicted about tomoz as long as know snow as my car is running just shy of 200bhp per ton, as is stripped with 10 point pug 106 cup car roll cage harnesses and bucket seats! ANyone on here coming tomoz??? Will post piictures of car when go tomoz

I paid a good figure that can't disclose but you pay just £450 plus vat worth every penny for my extra 30bhp

Nice! :D
JamesR
6th February 2009, 21:32
so you got an extra 30bhp off a remap? dont think thats quite possible.
jzink
6th February 2009, 21:39
Ran 131 bhp with inlet can retarded 3 degrees to run on standard ecu with all other mods the made 157.7bhp when mapped can prove with print outs! Why would I lie come to olron park tomoz and you'll see mate

thats a pretty amazing figure, i would of paid up to £700 for that, 30bhp is a good increase.

It only just ran on standard ecu as ticked over at 1400 to 2000 rpm's to work. Mappin diesel turbos often see gains of 50bhp plus going to sleep now as got to be up at 4.30am for trackday. Ask aldon automotive they fitted cams head and couldn't map with piggy back and gave rolling road figure originallyn aldon are in breily hill, dudley.

waynes rollers allways read a few higher than most places it seems.
yet the cars seem to be capable with the maps produced.

Yeah mine was mapped with Wayne and he did a spot on job. No issues with my map or running problems and its nearly a year now.
Good figures mate, take them with a pinch of salt but you will 'feel' the difference.

i paid £370 iirc,
mine has a slight stutter at about 1.5k, been like that for the last couple year.
dont know if i would go back to him for mapping though??? only if i was sticking with OE ecu.

where is this wayne dude situated, and how much, mine needs mapping.

8th February 2009, 21:23
Have you spoke to wayne as he'd probably fix it for free or may be a fault code given from the cam sensor hence splutter low down rev range. Prices will go up each year mate and I paid very little more than you and had butterfly vale ported and polished for free as have a known knife edge and to help tick over!

9th February 2009, 10:36
saxos dont have cams sensors.
jzink
9th February 2009, 10:42
Sorry meant fly wheel trigger sensor this will cause a random misfire reading and the engine management light will come on! Does it do it on tick over mostly if so this is what it will be mate

Wayne's mapping caused my engine diag light to come on. We looked it up and it refers to (IIRC...) It was P0606 - PCM/ECM processor malfunction. Nice... :fcuk:
Every time we cleared it, it came back on after a few dyno runs. It's been like that ever since. Wayne claimed he's never seen it before, but I'm not so sure... :detective:

9th February 2009, 11:21
engine management light has never been on and tick over is fine. its only at 1.5k. it only happend after it was mapped.

Be interesting to see if this is only people with 708's that has this problem

Maybe. But at the end of the day, with 708s, the engine shouldn't run well below 2k anyway... Hmmm.
