anyone know where i can find a cheap idle valve and how much are they?

try ceaning the one u go out.

does the old one just disconnect and then just spray with carb cleaner?

most are made by bosch, look at the number on the side and try searching ebay for bosch idle valve or stepper motor instead of saxo stepper motor.
