a plug for a flywheel sensor. Will this stop the car from working? My mate reckons his vts doesnt have one either. I havent tried starting it, because the conversion isnt finshed. Can someone help? Cheers

dont spose you know what the connector looks like? my vtr had one. my mate reckons his vts doesnt have one either. im well confused....

should be a 2 pin plug for the flywheel sensor surely yours should have 1 my vtr wont start if its disconnected ...

I assume you mean the one on the front? Theres a slot on the flywheel you can line up on it to find TDC on 1 to time up the engine, other than that it doesn't do anything, no sensor is supposed to be there.

CPS - Crank Position Sensor
Think the connector can be 2 pin or 3 pin. Depending on year/model/day of the week built lol.
But it'll definately have one. Car wouldn't even start without a reading.

You had a crank position sensor, but don't remember plugging in a wire to it.
From memory though, there wasn't a wire to go to the crank positon sensor. I seem to remember from mine that there was a connector plug over the top of the gearbox, and then a lead that connects the connector by the gearbox, to the crank position sensor.
If i get a chance tonight or tomorrow, I'll have a look at mine.

Problem solved. My loom is the three pin type. So i got one from and AX. Fits perfectly. Had to change the bracket though.
