Ive found a doner 1.6 VTR bottom end/top end which has been reconditioned to a high standard
I have a Peugeot 206 with a 1.4 8v engine currently, i was wondering if it could be as simple as swap the main blocks over and use my current sensors etc plug in and go?
Uses same coilpack
I.e i keep my ECU, and plug straight on
Look forward your help :A:

the 1.4 ecu will not be mapped correctly for the 1.6 but it could be a simple swap it depending on the head type of the 2 engines (roller or no roller) though really
and you could get the ecu remapped to suit it

My current ECU is remapped for my 1.4 8v giving 95bhp, and redot is able to refresh my map
Would it then function fine?

Its the 100bhp type so Roller rocker, also my current engine is roller rocker
Could it really be a simple bolt on mod as engines are very simlar?

So could it really be as simple as swap over engine, and bolt on existing sensors etc onto engine to get it goin??

Brilliant, as ive allready spent £200 on having my ECU remapped/ flashable chip soldered on etc
Is there anything im missing or?, the mounting points for engine on the block's themselfs dont change but the mounts in the car do change?
I.e blocks interchangeable between peugeots/citroens on that aspect?

Anyone else familer in this field on transplant?
Things like
Coolant temp sensor, Map Sensor, ICV, Lamda sensor are same part numbers as the VTR and my 1.4 8v
Seems ideal in that sense that most be interchangeable
So if i can keep my ECU, i can keep my sensors and put them in the right places on the new engine
Coilpack is the same, but the Injectors are different but can be run still
Gearbox bolts straight on, all be it close ratio.. might need to get a VTR gearbox ideally
Existing Engine mounts can be reused on the VTR engine?
Im just trying to establish any problem areas, and what needs doing etc to see if its feesible etc
Help much appritiated thanks :y:
