Some of you may have already seen this on SSC but here it is

We had abit on an idea on the input shaft front that is very prone to ripping the splines off the clutch boss on the higher powered cars

we have decided if we make an attachment to fit over the splines of the standard shaft which will use all the surface area of the standard splines and will the a tighter fit as it doesnt need to slide we can then use a clutch with a bigger spline say and inch we will also have an extended nose on the attachment so we can use a spigot bearing in the fly wheel which will take some of the starin off the standard crappy input shaft bearing and stop it wiggling about a much so should aid both clutch and gearbox life

John @ GMC has drawn a plan up and suspects the price to be about 150 quid + vat if we get the numbers

this will require the clutch plate changing but there is nothing stopping you of buying this now and fitting it when your clutch goes

although this was thought of for the boosted cars there is nothing stopping you using it on any car to aid gearbox life

please go on SSC for more info and put you name down if interested on there
