lol funny you should say this, i cleaned my engine bay with a steam cleaner and covered over my air filter and washed it all down avoiding the ecu and it started fine ran at tick over for about an hour then i went out in it and had a play with a pug and then it started misfiring, i got home eventually and the next morning from cold it was better but if you wanted full power it would splutter and get worse as it got hotter. i swaped the plugs and the coil pack and the problem went straight away, it was the simptoms of a plug gone down really

you can m8 but its risky, try cover up all sensors fuses and ecu etc, not really worth it imo as it can cause serious damage, some cars can be fine others can not, my m8 jetted his rs turbo engine and by the time he'd found out why it wouldnt start agen and replaced the parts it had set him bk around 800
