I have had a Raceland Enclosed Kit for a while now and just been running without the enclosure but I am actually getting my arse in gear and gonna sort it out properly.

I know it will have been asked many times before but is there an actual guide anywhere pref with pictures that show how to relocate the power stearing fluid bottle and how to actually fit the enclosure as i know alot/most people have a problems fitting it because its a dodgy fit?

Cheers :A:

Mine fitted without too much bother. Just binned the bracket that came with it and made 2 brackets onto slam panel from that industrial meccano stuff. there is a pic in my progress thread

What did you do with your power stearing bottle?

Did you need to remove or modify a metal bracket bit from the side of the engine as there seems to be one that obstructs mine?

Cheers

i used the bracket for the race land to mount the power steering mottle and bolted it to a spear bolt hole with the bolts from the old air feed, push the bottle under the top rad hose so it sits the other side of rad hose and you wont have any probs

me and tweedie both have mk2 vtr's but when you look under the bonnet his power steering fluid filler cap is level with the top of the slam panel, where mine is right down at the bottom of the engine bay. its this that gets in the way of the raceland enclosure on his car

i have just took the enclosure off my raceland.

Was feeling like it was restricted a little tbh.

Will see how it goes now, should have abit more induction roar now to ha

How did you mount your scoop to the slam? and did you use the bracket that came with it for anything?

saxovtsmad

i bought it off sax p site it already had 2 brackets fixed to it so i drilled 2 small holes in my sla, panel then used 2 self tapping screws

tweedie
21st February 2009, 10:47
ahh ok, not sure how I should do mine, some people get cracks in their scoops because there aint enough play for engine movement...

saxovtsmad

i screwd mine to slam panel then adjusted the pipe with the filter on then tightend all the nuts and bolts on the scoop and its perfect mate just dont tighten the scoop nuts and bolts to tight or it will crack
