My vtr is a mk2 and has the cat under the car, that diagram shows it in the manifold?

The mk2's do have the cat on the mani, yours must just have a mk1 system on it

Only the 98 BHP have CAT in the mainfold, early MK2s had 90 BHP so same as MK1.

I have a 2002 VTS and my exhaust system doesnt look like this i have a one piece manifold that joins to a pipe with one silencer (doesnt look like a cat) then 1 more piece of pipe to the backbox ?
have i not got a cat ? also the join from the manifold to the pipe is that ring like a gasket ?
Thanks

Yours is a different diagram... Your cat is in the manifold, thus you dont have the cat part in that picture... just the downpipe to a silencer, then your backbox.
Hope this helps :)

why the hell did cirtoen change the cat and put it in the manifold. causes more problems! and more expensive to replace!

no vts has a cat in the manifold. it must be an aftermarket system

Sorry looked under my saxo couldn't see the cat anywhere, it's due it's MOT and it nearly failed on emmisions last time.
