on the exhaust tip thats comes with a vtr there is a small amout of water when i start the car is this my head gasket or is it just condensation . think ma head gasket is about to go so want to replace it before it does.

lol its jsut condensation mate
any water that got through the gasket into the chamber would evaporate in milliseconds, let alone last all the way down a hot exhaust.

lol good theres no milky stuff under my oil cap or lemonade bubbles in my radiator think am safe to say its fine

theres new head gasket kits available on ebay, think i seen them on there for bout 40 quid mate.

yeah that'll just be condensation so i wouldn't worry. if you do ever change the headgasket, you can get standard rubber ones for about £25 but it's worth the extra to get a multilayer metal gasket for around £45.

Which interm is steam, which looks like white smoke when the engine is running. The water is due to exhaust warming up, and the outside being cold, if you only do short journeys in the cold, you backbox gathers water and rust's as it cant evaporate. if water is entering the cylinder the coolant level will start to creap.

it will be steam yes, but you would need one hell of a hole to actualy see, visibly the steam.
