Ive just done my vts conversion, and i was told i should get a vts rad and fan. As it happens ive been running around town on my old VTR fan and rad setup. Even though my cars a MK2 it is and early one so has the MK1 setup. Any its running cooler than my VTR did. It barely goes above half on the temp guage. So should i just save my money and keep my current setup which seems to be working really well?

If it works well then I see no reason to change it! I'd just put it towards something, either for the car or for yourself.

yeh. Might be worth looking at suspension/brakes before going for cams. Maybe get the basics sorted before more bhp.

There's no point making it faster if it can't stop quicker!

Do the twin fans fit a VTR rad? Then can you have it wired up to a switch?

The ones from a vts or gti do, but they arent twin fans. They have one fan and a gap for a second one. This is because the european vts' and gti's had air con.

Ive been running my R fan setup on my tweaked S engine and never had a problem with overheating even on track.
