iirc the vtr box is the better one due to gearing

vts has shorter ratio so better acceleration but barely noticalbe tbh mate

vtr box has longer final drive so higher theoretical top speed

most people stick with a vts box.
as rev drop on vtr box isnt right for the 16v engine.
