Thats 10 bloody saxos. Had 5 106s aswell. Anyone beat that? I feel such a mug :homme:

Got the VTR because my insurance is silly cheap compared to an S. Plus i have the 205 to drive like an idiot in - untill it sells.

Got a GTI interior going in the R tomorrow. Going to tidy it up and keep it as a daily driver for a while. Only done 69k. Not bad for £700 ;)

Because they are cheap to buy, run and repair. Easy to fix if you have a 13mm spanner and torx set and they are bloody fun to drive. Plus im a tit with 2 garages full of spares..

I love saxos.

I knew absolutely nothing about cars before i bought one.

Now i service my own car, fit all my mods myself, break cars and sell parts etc etc.

They're just really simple to fix, and fun to drive.

French is toss though (newer cars not so bad...)
older cars like Saxos etc,
fucking break all the time lol.
even if it is just petty.

My Clio rocked, never touched a thing on it except servicing in 8 months.

Bring back my Renaultsport :(

Even some french shit is still awful.
Dads car for example,
Grand Scenic,
Need to take bumper off to do headlight,
either that or carry an Ethiopian in your boot.

started with a 1.4, then went to a vts, sold it bought a vtr, cammed the vtr, now have a cammed vtr and a track vts... :y:

Part of the fun of owning a saxo for me is it breaking. Sadly they hardly ever do due to my mechanical sympathy and looking after them well.

However when they break i get to fix it and learn.

If looked after the car won't give you grief, dependent on how it's been treated, what it's life was like before you owned it etc. I like fixing the car and before I had my first sax I had never worked on a car.. now I thoroughly enjoy it.

The majority of my mates my age just send dad off with his/her car to get it fixed at the local garage... A) I don't have the money to do that all the time, and B) I'd rather do it myself :y:

Was out every night of the week, random weekends with "shal we drive to london to see if theres any slags about?".... its a 5 hour drive.. with no traffic, driving 80 mile round trip to work 5 days a week, soon added up.... but ironicly, for a saxo, that one never seemed to break, ever :/

saxos are not that unreliable, my old one I had for close to 5years without anything major, didnt cost alot etc... I just know mechanical sympathy unlike alot of people

Well fair enough they do need working, but my 8 year old standard VTEC engine pushes about the same torque as a brand new Clio 197 R27, which is enough for me.
