Got the VTR because my insurance is silly cheap compared to an S. Plus i have the 205 to drive like an idiot in - untill it sells.

Got a GTI interior going in the R tomorrow. Going to tidy it up and keep it as a daily driver for a while. Only done 69k. Not bad for £700

Because they are cheap to buy, run and repair. Easy to fix if you have a 13mm spanner and torx set and they are bloody fun to drive. Plus im a tit with 2 garages full of spares..
