oh yes, im more than dreaming! been offered a supercharger from a mini cooper s and out of curiosity, what would it take to fit an what sort of cost? do you just find somewhere to mount it? where does the belt run from? can you adjust boost on a s/charger or does it just do what it does?
i know fuck all about s/chargers tbh and theres not much chance i'd actually go ahead with it! also whats the charger unit actually worth?

will be run off the alternator belt,, you can adjust the amount of boost a charger can run but will be limited to how much, you need to change pulley sizes.
Think when fitting the eaton chargers you fit it wher your inlet mani.

i am dreaming, dont have the time nor money to do it at the minute!
was just wondering if i got the charger cheap enough would it actually cost a great deal to get it to 130/140?

To fit an eaton charger - the most expensive part will be fabrication. AFAIK there's no where that sells off the shelf brackets to fit the eaton charger. On top of actually holding the charger in place, you've then got to sort out hooking up the pulley to the same belt as the engine.
Also - eaton chargers are.... not very good in the grand scheme of things (esp when compared to Rotrex). More heat - therefore less power. So intercooler, and fuelling/engine management needs to be bought, fitted, mapped. Then pipework etc etc.
TBH - not easy to do it cheap at all. Even if you could fabricate stuff, fit stuff yourself - it would be a very minimum of £500 i'd guess. And even then you'd not have a great deal of power/reliability.
As for controlling the boost level - you can change the pulleys to restict how fast the charger is spun, or a slightly easier way is make up a restrictor for the s/c inlet that restricts the amount of air it can compress.
