hi ive just managed to get a vts engine with the rest of the car the engine is sweet but rest of car not so good so got it cheap i want to take the engine out and put it in my vtr. the ecu are both single plug. but the prob is the vts car have a key pad code thing i gess thats the imobiolizer if i swap engines and ecu is the key pad thing linked to the ecu will the engine start . in the vtr i dont have the key pad thing. hope someone can help

swap EVERYTHING over, literally strip the inside of the VTS bay, strip the bay of the VTR and put all the VTS intheir, ECU and Loom and the enegine imobiliser ... should be fine.

You could send the vts ecu away to get unlocked which would mean you wouldnt need to swap the imobiliser over! That would be the way id do it!

ok thanks but now im beging to think to much trouble and money just wanted to dump a new engine in and it go, might just sell vts car now gutted

its not too much agro, pretty sure you can unlock the vts ecu your self something link start the vts and unplug the immobiliser turn it off, not 100% but its something like that, someone else will tell you for sure in a sec

Any way of doing it without the whole car or engine running with the locked ECU though?
