Okay Ive got a VTS and just bought a raceland 4-2-1 manifold which is carbon heatwrapped but what I wanted to know is...
Does anyone have any comments on the performance increase (if any) as ive been told shouldnt have bothered getting it?
Has anyone been to a rolling road and then changed filter and mani on a vts who has had proof for themselves that it increases the bhp?
Im doing to de-cat it soon too and i know that will make a difference

In theory it should give an increase, and most of the time in practice it does, just depends on a lot of factors how much of an increase you get... can range from losing you power to +8 ish. Depends on a lot of factors as i have said though.

if it doesnt give an increase im sure it will free up the revs a little for a nicer driver plus you get the sound, also i believe that the pipe diameter on the raceland is bigger than standard so should give a gain even though it might be a small one

i put a janspeed manifold on my vts and tbh its seemed to have smoothed the power out thru the rev range but doesnt seem to be as quick as it used to be but that just cud be down to a smother rev range rather than a spot in the rev range that it kick in

I know the selling point is to gain power but my mechanic said that I should have got a mild steel Janspeed one as the stainless ones make a rattling revvy noise! not looking forward to that!
Also he said that due to the material its made from it changes the frequency of the exhaust emissions and builds up pressure that causes a decrease in power sometimes, he said ''you will never see an expensive manifold made from stainless steel what does that tell you'' ? grr
Cheers for your comments so far!
Any more feedback appreciated! especially if you have a raceland manifold! even better if its on a vts!

A hillclimber on the Rallye reg, used his raceland on the Rollers compaired to another manifold and noticed substancial gains in midrange and max torque/bhp.

thats what i wanted to hear! something that said that the raceland mani's arent useless and that im gonna gain something hopefully! lol
Anyone else got a raceland mani that they have noticed a difference using?
Im going to search for people in the forum soon and ask questions! lol

i have one of these my self and heat wrapped it.. i found it makes lot of difference makes the car climb rev's alot quicker and just alot better, also makes your exhaust more raspy!!

Well I'm going to (dis)prove once and for all when my saxo goes back on the rollers next month. It's had the raceland fitted and I can't feel shit of difference.
sounds better though !

Even without any power gains it helps your engine run more efficiently which is never a bad thing
