1.6 decat gain

it's been a while since i was on this forum.

to get to the point; what will i gain if i decat a 1.6 16v engine on my c4?

i remember when i decatted my xsara it became more sensitive to gas pedal, gained more dynamics in the ride.

could i expect same here or is it something more or less?


it has 2 lambda's. will there be any problems in the ECU?

Hello.

You should gain a few bhp and enjoy an increase in throttle response. If it has 2 lambda sensors it may be worth investing in a sports cat to keep everything running ship shape.

Or a lambda sleve for the other sensor to slot into?

that's screwing them into the pipe, or practically outside of the pipe?

A decat will generally gain you a few horses, increase throttle resposne and in some cases make you MPG worse, but its worth it for the extra power. :y:
