is it ment to fit so close to the alternator im mean mine misses by about 1cm and that bit on the alternator is just plastic can just see it melting when it gets too hot bit of heat wrap fix this?

this is the case with all performance manifolds mate.

heat wrap would help reduce heat transfer to other parts of the engine bay

yea best thing to do is heatwrap it mate, like previously said its the same with all performance manifolds, i thought the same as u on mine though lol

when i put my 4-2-1 on my vts it hit the oil filter..didnt think much of it till it bust a pinhole in it on the m25 at 3 in the morning..had to take it back off and bend the manifold where it hit the filter. have it wrapped now and its a good job

Ask alex-vts for a pic of his alternator after a session next to his piper mainifold ;)
